What a great way to celebrate your 100th post....I guess I would say the best thign I gave to someone was 2 crocheted ponchos for a friends twin great neices...I have gifted tons of stuff but that was one of my favorite to do...I have been given so many great things out of the kindness of others including knitting looms, yarn, money for a vaccum cleaner, and the best of all is the friendship I have been given....
Hope you have had a blessed day.......

Wow... I need to check out this freecycle for yarns. I have lots of things I would gladly send to others.

I guess the biggest freebies I have ever given are CARS yep I have given away 4 yep that's right 4 automobiles to families in need. I think I was a surprised as they were when i did it, lol. But I was glad I was able to.

I am linking your contest on my blog, wha a great idea.

Oh, I love the idea of that group, and I had never heard of it, so thanks! In terms of gifts, I'm currently going against my normal selfish knitting, as last week I offered to make a lady on Ravelry a chemo hat. I don't know her at all, but her story moved me.

Congrats on 100 posts. The kindest gifted item is from someone I have no idea who it is. My husband is a Marine and was in Iraq when our twin daughters were born. When he got back and got to meet the babies we had the girls dedicated at our church. When he went up in dress blues and it was anounced that this was his first meeting with his daughters the congergation stood up and all thanked him for his service. After service everyone wasnted to speak to him. A day later the church called and said the tape was ready to pick up of the dedication. when hubby came home he said that after service someone came and gave the church office $100.00 to gift to our family as a thank you. $100.00 just given to us for him serving. We were SO grateful. We took the money and had our first date night in almost 1 year. Money well spent.

Best thing I've been given knitting-wise was my knitting journal! Can't work out how to link to it but it's by CICO books and you can get it on amazon. It has sections on useful tips, adapting patterns, basic and advanced stitches, and best of all a 'completed projects' section where you can store the ballband, photos and bits of leftover yarn for repairs or emergencies. It's excellent, and if I had any knitting friends I'd give them one!
