About
Peaceful Knitter
I view knitting as a meditation, an act of great patience and joy. I knit to relax, to quiet the chatter in my mind, and to refocus my energy on something positive, enjoyable, challenging, and beautiful. Join me as I collect some gorgeous yarn, try to learn a few new tricks, and have a lot of knitting fun along the way!
The non-knitting knitty gritty: We recently relocated from New England to Western Oregon and are loving the mild climate and access to the ocean. I am a stay at home mama to Peaceful Baby (now Peaceful Toddler!). We are learning the ropes of this new life together, and enjoying the ups and downs of the everyday. While she’s napping, I’m usually knitting, blogging, reading, cooking, watching movies, playing outside, wrangling cats, or daydreaming.

I can’t believe you knit a sock while I was having my toenail excised! I suppose the pain distracted me from noticing.
Hi there Peaceful Knitter,
Congratulations, you have inspired me to learn something new. I love this blog!
Hello PK,
Happened upon your site and would love to join the crowd of knitters. Approaching retirement in June and looking forward to many days and nights of knitting. Am quite concerned about the Ossipee mountain area knitters I have not yet met and hope there is a group of enthusiasts.
Please add me to your list!
Thanks,
Anne
